Dental treatment

It is more appropriate to see the dentist for toothache and other dental problems because, as doctors we are not trained to diagnose dental conditions. General Medical Council recommends that doctors should not offer any treatment where they do not have any expertise.

There are two dental practices in Lutterworth. They may or may not be taking on new patients - you will need to contact them direct (see phonebook).

The NHS dental access centre in Leicester provides emergency dental care. This service is particularly useful for people who are not registered with an NHS dentist but are in need of emergency treatment for conditions such as tooth abscesses.  It is open 9 am to 4:30 pm. An appointment is needed to access this service.

See the phonebook for contact numbers for these services.
