*"We ought not to judge of men's merits by
their qualifications, but by the use they make of them".
(Richard Cecil)
We hope to prove to all our patients that we are worth
more than our qualifications - on the other hand if you want to know what they
mean look below:
MB BCh, MB ChB and MB BS are the basic medical school
qualifications. I don't know why different universities use different letters.
MRCGP - Member of the Royal College of General
Practitioners - You get this by undertaking speciallist GP training for 3 years
and sitting some exams
DipRCOG - diploma of Royal college of Obstetrics and
Gynaecology - A postgraduate qualification in obstetrics and gynaecology
achieved by working in the specialty and then doing exams.
BSc
- Bachelor of Science
FpCert and
DFFP are certificates of family planning which
you get after undertaking training in family planning and proving competence in
practical procedures.
